Recently as2con has developed a computer program for fast and accurate re-meshing of an existing fine mash of finite elements.

The main purpose of this software is to recreate the fine mesh into half, one third, one quarter or any other smaller size ratio of a new element dimension with respect to the original element size. It is all done within a few minutes of work. 
Usage of this software is very simple because all a user has to do is to define boundaries of box within which one wants the model to be re-meshed, and to specify the new element size. The software will re-mesh all the elements inside the defined box and also it will recreate transitional elements along the boundaries of the box. Therefore, a user does not have to create transitional elements from larger to smaller elements by redefining geometry an element by an element.

This software saves an existing model and makes a new one with finer mesh so that a user can always keep both models. This software was also tested on LS-Dyna models and worked perfectly as shown in figures.
